We absolutely loved the cabin, the staff and the little village. We are a large family (2 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs) that drove up from Texas in hopes of camping at Yellowstone. When we arrived, the temperature was around 34 and starting to snow. We quickly called Silver Gate Lodging, where we were met with an extremely courteous and helpful staff. The cabin had everything we needed and more and in a world full of bad service, the Silver Gate staff exceeded every expectation I could dream of. Stay here! Oh and you get to drive through Lamar Valley every time you enter the park.

Awesome place to stay with friendly staff. Easy access to Yellowstone. Kitchen was fully equipped to cook almost any meal!
July 21, 2019We recently stayed in the Back Cabin at Silver Gate Lodging. It was absolutely PERFECT! The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The town has a straight-out-of-a-movie quaint feeling about it. The locals were friendly and helpful. Our 5 days in Yellowstone were our best trip there yet, due to how close to the park we were. We cannot wait to return and stay in "our cabin"...which will definitely become a new family tradition!!!

Cosy cabins set in an amazing scenery. Excellent location as gateway into Yellowstone National Park. Great for both summer and winter time
September 9, 2017Very nice cabins. Comfortable, cozy and great accommodations. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. GREAT LOCATION. Variety of Wildlife. Next Door to Yellowstone National Park.
March 31, 2019Love these cabins! I like that they are earth conscious and use all natural soaps and cleaners. The employees were all really nice and the general store has a really nice selection of necessities. They even have a shelf of things you can borrow during your stay! There was a bison that walked through our first morning and a deer the second. We also rented a spotting scope and checked out the sheep that roam on the hill across the road. Very fun for the whole family! The guest books were really fun to read and add to!

We loved our visit. We stayed in cabin 2. Very comfy, had a kitchen. After a long day visiting Yellowstone, was nice to come back and hang out on the porch, watching a Bison walk down the road, right in front of our cabin. wonderful place. Only 5 miles from the entrance too Yellowstone. Awesome view from our cabin. Staff was great and very helpful. can't wait to visit again, I hope.
October 11, 2019The cabins here are the perfect size and have everything you need: full kitchen, including stove and fridge as well as dishes and lots as pans; a bathroom, and depending on the cabin, enough space to sleep your whole family. The facilities were clean and well kept. We also appreciated the fire pit with outdoor seating provided. The general store carries many of the necessities as well as a pretty good selection of beer and wine and of course plenty of souvenirs. We utilized the little store as our internet provider when we were feeling too disconnected, but otherwise really enjoyed being “unplugged”. The setting is completely breathtaking and only minutes away from Yellowstone Park. The staff there is kind, engaged and genuinely cares about their customers. Our family will be making this an annual destination for sure. Thank you Silver Gate Lodging!

As a family of four we were looking for a place to stay outside Yellowstone and sleep. Very relaxing and super friendly service. The cabin was clean and cute. We were even greeted by the mayor on the porch who was a sweet Labrador!
August 18, 2019We stayed here overnight, on our way back from Yellowstone NP. It is an ideallic setting, with mountains in front. I'm guessing we can see wildlife right from the porch. (Scopes can be hired to see mountain goats ?) We didn't see any, maybe because we were there for a short time. Coffee is complimentary at their shop up front. There's a little kitchenette to cook, complete with all utensils and cutlery. There's a grill outside and comfy chairs and a place to build a campfire. The beds are very comfortable. I really recommend this place. The people at their shop were also very helpful with places to see around there.( Highly recommend the drive to Bear Tooth pass and back. ). Also, just to mention, we are Indian. We got many 'looks' in many places in our trip. Here, no one batted an eyelid. Which was a relief. I would love to visit again, and recommend to everyone.
